The debate about \"the purpose of business\" is an evergreen. In the last decade, however, it has become more prominent in response to the threat of greenwashing arising from the CSR aspect. Following the \"B-Corp season\" in many US states, several states all over Europe have introduced innovative regulatory systems to react to the intersection between the two separate areas of commercial for-profit organisations and the non-profit enterprises. This \"area in the middle\" is interesting because companies with a genuine commitment to sustainability can demonstrate their ambitions through voluntary but binding commitments.<\/p>\n
