The Water Risk department offered its next virtual meeting (Zoom meeting) on February 14th , 2025<\/strong> from 12:00 to 14:00.<\/strong><\/p>\n 11:45 h 12:00 h 12:20 h With its ZERO WATERLOSS mission statement, VONROLL HYDRO is pursuing the goal of minimising water loss and promoting sustainable infrastructures. In view of the global water crisis, the company is focussing on durable, high-quality, regionally produced components to ensure water quality and make transport efficient. ZEROWATERLOSS aims to contribute to a secure water supply worldwide, also for future generations.<\/p>\n 13:00 h<\/span> Prof. Berger reported on the project, but asked for patience regarding the documentation, which has not yet been completed or approved by the project sponsor.<\/p>\n 13:10 h<\/span> Ocean as a basis for life and business<\/p>\n Dr. Alexis Katechakis studied Biological Oceanography and Sustainable Resource Management. He supports companies in the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and in the areas of biodiversity, marine resources and water. He is also a board member of the UN Ocean Decade in Germany. He spoke about the relevance of the oceans and the goals of the UN Ocean Decade.<\/p>\n 13:50 h<\/span> 14:00 h<\/span> The topics on the programme for the next meeting are a current main report by the WBGU (German Advisory Council on the Environment) on \u2018Water in a heated world\u2019 and a UBA research project on the \u2018Impact of climate change on water availability - adaptation to dryness and drought in Germany (WADKlim)\u2019 ... We are trying to find speakers for both topics.<\/p>\n Participation in these meetings is open to all interested parties who are involved in water management and (operational) water protection. With changing topics, we offer you a professional insight and the opportunity to exchange ideas with the other participants and the speakers.<\/p>\n You are also welcome to use this meeting to get to know the VNU association and all its services for and by members.<\/p>\n Non-members please use the online registration form <\/a> Non-members can take part in the Water Risk department once free of charge. From the second participation onwards, we charge a fee of \u20ac50.00 (net) per person and per meeting for non-members. ...
