- Dipl.-Ing. Svoboda Schmidt is the Managing Director of DQS Bulgaria OOD and has many years of international experience in the fields of environmental, energy and sustainability management, as well as auditing and certification. She studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy in Sofia and obtained an additional qualification in Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development. For many years, she has worked as a lead auditor and technical assessor for management systems and sustainability issues. A particular focus of her work is the accounting, validation and verification of greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with ISO 14064 and the GHG Protocol. She is one of the first auditors in Europe in this field and has extensive practical experience in the auditing and verification of greenhouse gas inventories. In addition, Ms Schmidt has broad experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, energy efficiency and integrated management systems, and regularly contributes her expertise as a speaker at specialist meetings on environmental, climate and sustainability issues.
