The VNU Department "Climate Protection" invites you to the 1st virtual meeting of the VNU Climate Club. Discussions on the topics around climate protection and sharing news under competent guidance is our aim.
After an initial impulse by Stephan Schunkert (VNU Head of Climate Protection and Managing Director of KlimAktiv) and Jakob Flechtner (Member of the VNU Board and Project Manager of Unternehmenswerk Klimaschutz), there will be the opportunity to exchange experiences. In addition, we like to identify topics and questions for future meetings of the VNU Climate Club together with our participants.

What is the VNU Climate Club?
With the new VNU Climate Club we offer for members and interested parties the opportunity to exchange views on issues of corporate climate protection, share experiences and find inspiration for climate protection measures and climate management. In the future, we would plan to invite you to the VNU Climate Club every three or four month with changing focus issues.
Topics
Climate protection in the supply chain (Scope 3.1)
At the beginning, we will talk about climate protection in supply chains. How can greenhouse gas emissions from primary products and purchased goods and services be adequately recorded and accounted? What experience has been made in the consideration of climate protection in purchasing?
Moderators
Stephan Schunkert is the founder and managing partner of KlimAktiv Consulting GmbH and the non-profit KlimAktiv gGmbH. He has more than 20 years of experience in aerospace engineering, the energy business, emissions trading and climate protection. At the VNU, Mr Schunkert heads the climate protection department.
Jakob Flechtner has been working on the topics of energy transition, environmental and climate protection at the interaction between companies, politics and consulting for more than 10 years. He is head of the project "Unternehmensnetzwerk Klimaschutz - eine IHK- Plattform" at DIHK Service GmbH. He is a member of the VNU board.
Registration
VNU members can register informally at the VNU office (vnu@vnu-ev.de) and always participate free of charge.
Non-members have the possibility of a one-time free participation to get to know this offer.
From 2nd participation a fee of 50 € net plus 19 % VAT will be charged.
Non-members (also for the first free participation) are requested to register online.
