EMAS ffor beginners
EMAS is considered to be the premium system in environmental management. It stands for performance, transparency and credibility and has been successfully applied for over 25 years by organisations of all sizes and from a wide range of sectors.
For EMAS newcomers and organisations interested in EMAS, many questions arise:
- What are the benefits of EMAS?
- How time-consuming is the introduction?
- How can one proceed?
- What are the options?
- What are the biggest hurdles?
- Where can I find help and further information?
- What tips and recommendations do experts give?
These and other points will be discussed in more detail in the 1 ½ hour webinar and experts will answer your additional questions on EMAS implementation.
Who is the webinar aimed at?
The webinar is designed for all organisations that want to find out more about introducing EMAS, have already decided to do so or are in the process of implementing EMAS.
Speakers
Lennart Schleicher, Environmental verifier, VNU President
He worked for more than 20 years in industry as an environmental manager and was able to gain experience on corporate culture, among other things, in 22 countries. Today he is an accredited environmental verifier and owner of ENVEX Umweltberatung. He was a member of the Environmental Verification Committee and head of the EMAS revision working group there. He has contributed to two EMAS reference documents. Today he is a member of the German delegation of the EMAS Expert Committee. Lennart Schleicher has been a member of the VNU Board since 2006 and President since 2018.
Mario Lodigiani, Head of the office of the German EMAS Advisory Board (UGA)
He has been supporting the UGA in activities to promote and promote EMAS since 2008, first as an advisor and since 2020 as Managing Director.

This EMAS Club Europe offer is open to all organisations that want to learn more about or are planning to implement EMAS, as well as to all EMAS-registered organisations.
